Challenge
kkooee, a Brisbane-based startup, wanted to launch an engineering services marketplace in Australia. Its vision was a platform similar to UpWork but focused on connecting businesses with skilled engineers. However, as a new entrant, it needed a digital presence to attract clients and engineers to its marketplace.
Solution
Our partnership with kkooee involved various tasks aimed at establishing a solid digital presence:
- Lead Generation Campaign Management: Creating compelling campaigns to attract supply and demand-side stakeholders.
- Media Buying via Google AdWords: Strategically allocating resources to maximize ad visibility and conversion rates.
- Google Analytics Implementation: Deploying advanced tracking mechanisms to gain insights into user behavior and campaign performance.
- Email Marketing: Crafting engaging email content and managing one-to-many campaigns via Mailchimp.
We began by establishing kkooee’s online foundation. It included implementing Google Analytics to track website traffic and user behavior, setting goals to measure campaign success, and integrating AdWords for seamless campaign management. We utilized Google Tag Manager to streamline tag deployment across the platform.
Building the Audience: Keyword research allowed us to identify search terms potential engineers and clients would use. Leveraging these insights, we crafted compelling ad copy across Google AdWords to drive targeted traffic to kkooee’s landing page, which was designed using Instapage.
Communication & Growth: Mailchimp became our tool for fostering communication with potential users. We developed engaging email campaigns to nurture leads and drive signups.
The campaign yielded significant results. Within the timeframe, the member base grew from 15 to 3,000+. Daily traffic increased from zero to 3,000+ visitors/month.

We achieved an exceptional cost per conversion of $19 despite a new domain and lack of branding activities. In close coordination with the co-founders, we capped the monthly ad spend at $3000. This helped onboard new members without compromising the quality of intake while staying within our ad budget.
Three main factors that contributed to keeping the cost/conversion ratio well below our target ($40/lead) were:
- Bidding on the right keywords (decent search vol/mo and daily budget capping)
- Relevant and exciting ad copy
- Good UX on the landing page
We credit this success to a data-driven approach, targeted advertising, and clear communication strategies.
Working with Kkooee was a rewarding experience. We’re proud to have helped establish Kkooee’s digital presence and facilitate its growth. While this project yielded impressive results, we acknowledge that continued optimization is critical to long-term success.
